Welcome to Alchemy Puzzle (the "Game"), operated by alchemypuzzle.com ("we", "us"). By accessing or playing the Game you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part, do not use the Game.

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

01The Service

  1. "Game": the web-based alchemy crafting game we operate, including its website, content, and related services.
  2. "Virtual Items": in-game coins, sand, mana, creations, recipes, items, and pass benefits (monthly/yearly).
  3. "Subscription": a recurring plan exchanging periodic payment for benefits over a period (monthly pass, yearly pass).
  4. "Canon": the server-wide shared database of creation names, descriptions, and recipes, parts of which are AI-generated.

02Accounts

  1. Guest accounts: you may play without registering. A guest account is tied to your current device and browser only; clearing browser data or signing out makes the account and all its progress and Virtual Items unrecoverable.
  2. Linking: signing in with Google preserves your progress. One Google account maps to one account per language site.
  3. Age: if you are under 18, use the Game only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian; purchases must be made or approved by them.
  4. Security: you are responsible for actions taken through your account.

03Virtual Items and Virtual Currency

  1. Licence, not property: Virtual Items are a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use them within the Game. They are not your property.
  2. No real-world value: Virtual Items and currency cannot be redeemed for cash or real-world goods, and may not be sold or transferred outside the Game.
  3. Balancing: we may adjust how Virtual Items are obtained, their values, prices, and effects. Items already delivered to your account are not taken back because of catalogue changes.

04Payments, Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal

  1. Merchant of Record: payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as Merchant of Record. For payment, tax, refund, and chargeback matters your contracting party is Lemon Squeezy under its buyer terms; we remain responsible to you for the Game itself and support.
  2. Tax: checkout totals may include applicable taxes (VAT/GST) based on your location, as shown at checkout.
  3. Delivery: Virtual Items are delivered to your account as described at the time of purchase. Payment confirmation is asynchronous and normally completes within seconds to minutes.
  4. Auto-renewal: the monthly pass renews monthly and the yearly pass renews yearly until cancelled. Cancel any time via the link in your receipt email or by contacting support. Cancellation does not affect the period already paid; benefits continue to the end of the current period, without pro-rated refunds.
  5. Price changes: subscription price changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect, applying from the next billing cycle after notice.

05Refund Policy

  1. Virtual Items: Virtual Items are digital content. Once delivered to your account, the purchase is fulfilled and is generally non-refundable. By purchasing you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge losing any statutory withdrawal period where applicable.
  2. Exceptions: for duplicate charges, payments that were charged but not delivered, or content unusable due to a technical fault on our side, contact alchemypuzzle@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase; verified cases will be refunded or re-delivered.
  3. Subscriptions: cancelling does not refund the current period; benefits run to the period end. A yearly pass may be refunded if requested within 14 days of payment and no benefits of the period have been used.
  4. Mandatory rights: non-waivable consumer rights under the law of your place of residence remain unaffected. Refunds are executed through Lemon Squeezy's refund process.

06Refund Abuse and Chargebacks

  1. When a refund or chargeback is made, the Virtual Items from that transaction are removed from the account; if already spent, the balance may go negative.
  2. Accounts with chargebacks are frozen for paid and spending features until the dispute is resolved. We may terminate accounts engaging in malicious chargebacks.

07User Content

  1. Content you enter in the Game (workshop names, prophecies, namings) must not infringe others' rights or contain unlawful, hateful, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate material.
  2. You grant us a licence to reproduce and display your entered content server-wide for operating the Game (e.g. the roster, leaderboards, share cards).
  3. We may remove violating content and restrict or terminate accounts. Use the in-game report feature to flag inappropriate content.

08AI-Generated Content

  1. Creation names and descriptions may be generated by AI from your crafting and become part of the server-wide Canon visible to all players.
  2. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or fictional; it is game narrative, not factual statements or advice.
  3. Triggering generation does not grant you copyright or exclusive rights in that content; in-game "patents" and "firsts" are gameplay mechanics without legal intellectual-property meaning.

09Conduct

  1. No cheating tools, scripts, or automation.
  2. No exploiting bugs for gain; please report them to support.
  3. No abusing first-purchase offers, events, or the market with multiple accounts.
  4. We may claw back illegitimate gains and freeze or terminate violating accounts without refund.

10Changes, Suspension, Termination of Service

  1. We may add, change, or remove Game content and features at any time.
  2. We may suspend the service for maintenance, faults, or force majeure.
  3. If the Game shuts down permanently we will announce it at least 30 days in advance; Virtual Items expire at shutdown without compensation, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

11Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  1. The Game is provided "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  2. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; our total liability is capped at the amounts you actually paid for the Game in the 12 months before the event, or USD 10 for free players.

12Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms; material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan; the parties agree to the Tainan District Court, Taiwan as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, mandatory rules of your place of residence remain unaffected.
