Charges: add support skills to a main card

Deck building gives each main card 4 charge slots. Assign other creations to provide support skills and stat bonuses. Materials assigned to charges must remain in your bag.

An ultimate is the main card’s own skill; support skills come from its charge setup. Check the effects in the Skill list before choosing a combination.

Hidden attacks: attack a covered square

Hidden attacks ignore elemental matchups and deal 80% of normal attack damage. A covered piece may be yours, so a hidden attack can hit your own piece.

Each hit opens the card back a little further: the first hit reveals an element icon through the crack; the second makes that same icon clearer; the third flips the whole card and reveals its creation, owner, and status. The second hit does not reveal any additional kind of information.

A hidden piece may be your own. Hidden attacks do not distinguish friend from foe and ignore elemental matchups. Weigh the risk of friendly fire against revealing information about your deck.

Spirit: when can you use an ultimate?

Your revealed pieces regain spirit on your turn. At 5 spirit, a piece can use its ultimate. Using it spends spirit; some support skills affect how much spirit is gained or retained, so check each skill’s description.

Having enough spirit is not enough by itself: the target must also be legal. If no square is selectable, check range, target type, and elemental restrictions.

Elements, categories, and battle slots

A creation’s element and category determine its battle slot, which in turn determines its skill. There are six battle slots: Ward, Link, Shift, Life, Burst, and Strike.

Use Elements and battle slots to find a creation’s slot, then check the actual effect in the Skill list. Names help you identify a skill; read the full description for its range and conditions.

Timeouts and disconnections

In a timed room, the turn is skipped when the timer runs out. You lose after 3 of your own turns without an action. Disconnecting does not pause the room timer.
